Does This Sound Raciest?

Does the following sound like it was written by a white supremacist?

Sound like the ramblings of an ignorant raciest?

"The debate over the best strategic option for white leadership and the White American community as we approach the Mayoral election in Atlanta has become critical based on the fact that for the last 25 years Atlanta has represented the breakthrough for white political empowerment in the South."

"It is debatable to what extent the objective socio-economic and political position of the White American community has improved. At the same time, most would agree that the Jackson breakthrough represented an unprecedented opportunity for white political representation nationwide."

"A passionate argument has been made for us to develop a unity of purpose and position, and for that to be defined immediately, given the short amount of time remaining between now and November 2009 election day (two and 1/2 months from now)."
"There is a chance for the first time in 25 years that White Americans could lose the Mayoral seat in Atlanta, Georgia, especially if there is a run-off."

The quotes are real. They were taken from a GPB article by Emily Green. I just changed all reference to black and African American to white and White American.

Being a white male I can't help but thing how phrases like "Black Power" spoke by an impassioned African American man waving his fists in the air invokes a sense of pride and a justifiable need for the ethnocentric behavior.

However...envision for a moment a white man, with his fists raised shouting "White Power." What are the initial feelings that come to mind? What about the other sayings, institutions and organizations...what it those were focused around the European American?

Now I DO understand that there is a need to highlight racism and growing up I have seen my share of ignorant people judging others based on the color of their skin however I have to wonder at what point does it cross the line. I think in the mayoral race it clearly did and feel it is important for Americans to come together in organizations and not develop organizations and traditions that move us further apart. That is not to say we should lose our heritage. That should always be a part of who we are but come on...what if there were a White Wall Street Merchants Association or a National White Child Development Institute or a Caucasian College fund? At the end of the day we as Americans shouldn't rely on outside organizations to care for the future or well being of ourselves or our families.
